Hosea 8:9-11

New American Standard Bible

⁹ For they have gone up to ^(A)Assyria,
Like ^(B)a wild donkey all alone;
Ephraim has ^(C)paid fees for ^[a]lovers.
¹⁰ Even though they ^[b]pay for allies among the nations,
I will ^(D)gather them up now;
And they will begin ^(E)to diminish
Because of the burden of the ^(F)king of officials.

¹¹ Since Ephraim has ^(G)multiplied altars for sin,
They have become altars of sinning for him.
